Cranbrook Black Wolves Win Gold Medal

The Cranbrook Black Wolves are the first champions of the rechristened MacDonald Cup since 1995 after edging the Saanich Express in the gold medal match Sunday afternoon at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. The Express led 4-3 after 20 minutes, the teams were tied at 6 after 40 minutes, and the game was tied at 8 until Cranbrook's Wyatt Fancy notched his 7th goal of the contest with 25 seconds left in regulation to secure the victory.
