Swift Current Wolverines Confirmed for MacDonald Cup

We are excited to announce our seventh confirmed team for this this year’s invitational!! 

Junior Lacrosse returned to the city of Swift Current, Saskatchewan in 2019 with the formation of the Swift Current Wolverines Lacrosse Club. The Wolverines are made up of players from the city of Swift Current and local towns and ranches in southwest Saskatchewan. The Wolverines play in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League in Saskatchewan. This year the PGLL consists of teams from Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, and Swift Current. Currently the Wolverines are tied for first place in league play with Prince Albert. Wolverine home games have become sought after events for the local community with the arena often packed as the boys play the game they love.

The MacDonald Cup will be held in the new arena at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre from August 9-13, 2023, which will precede the 2023 Founders Cup. The active planning committee has members from all four western provinces and is looking for volunteers and sponsors to make this a great event.
