We are excited to announce confirmed teams for this this year’s invitational, joining the host Southern Alberta Chaos!

Swift Current Wolverines

The Swift Current Wolverines Jr B Tier 2 Lacrosse Club returns to the MacDonald Cup after participating in the inaugural tournament in 2023. Junior Lacrosse returned to the city of Swift Current, Saskatchewan in 2019 with the formation of the Swift Current Wolverines Lacrosse Club. The Wolverines are made up of players from the city of Swift Current and local towns and ranches in southwest Saskatchewan. The Wolverines play in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League in Saskatchewan.

Calgary Wranglers

The Calgary Wranglers Jr B Tier 2 Lacrosse Club returns to the MacDonald Cup after participating in the inaugural tournament in 2023. has been associated with the Calgary Hornets Lacrosse program playing within the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League since 2003. The Calgary Hornets Lacrosse club began in 1976 as Varsity Lacrosse. In 1981 we became Crowchild Lacrosse in association with the home facility at the Crowchild Twin Arenas. In 1997 they became the Calgary Hornets Lacrosse Association, covering the north quadrant of Calgary.

Prince Albert Predators

The Prince Albert Predators Jr B Tier 2 Lacrosse Club is participating in their first MacDonald Cup. The Predators first joined the Saskatchewan Major Junior Lacrosse League (SMJLL) back in 2003 and celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2024. The Predators are based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and currently play in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League.


Lakeland Heat

The Lakeland Heat Jr B Tier 2 Lacrosse Club is also participating in their first MacDonald Cup. Lacrosse started in Lakeland (Bonnyville, Cold Lake and surrounding communities) in 2005, bringing the game to Northeast Alberta. The Heat competes in the North Division of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League Tier 2 Junior B.
